‘Islamic banking system can bring prosperity to country’

Finance minister says KP offers excellent opportunities for investment in various sectors 

KARACHI: Islamic Banking & Finance system can bring prosperity to Pakistani society if people seriously practise Islamic way of life, especially in their financial matters.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said stated this while addressing the “Business Gathering” organised by The Bank of Khyber (BOK) on Tuesday at a local hotel.

BOK Managing Director Shamsul Qayyum, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Finance Syed Said Badshah Bukhari, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Islamic Banking Director Yavar Moini and BOK Shariah Supervisory Board Member Prof Syed Muhammad Abbas also spoke on the occasion. Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi senior leader Muhammad Hussain Mehnati offered Dua for the promotion of Islamic banking and financial system in Pakistan on this occasion.

The KP finance minister mentioned that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offers excellent opportunities for investment in various sectors like Tourism, Minerals, Hydal Power, Forests and other natural resources etc. He invited the business community from Karachi to invest in KP. Said lauded the role of people of Karachi for hosting peoples from all over the country & KP and providing them opportunity to make a good living. He prayed that Karachi may become again city of lights.
