Mining, energy stocks drag down local share market

Another fall in mining and energy stocks has dragged the Australian share market lower for the fourth day in a row.
The major local indices have fallen every day so far this week with both down 0.4 per cent today.
The All Ordinaries finished at 5,311 and the benchmark ASX 200 finished at 5,331.
A rise in Chinese lending created optimism of more demand for raw materials from that country.
That saw copper rebound as much as 2.5 per cent today, after hitting a five-and-a-half-year low yesterday, with falls of more than 5 per cent.
But the rebound did not help Australia's producers.
Oz Minerals and PanAust backed up double digit falls yesterday with 4 and 3 per cent slides today, while Sandfire fell another 7 per cent to $3.76.
